Dr. Kenneth Schenck 
Dr. Ken Schenck is a California native. He graduated from the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Davis in 1975, then moved to Iowa to complete an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 1976. After moving back to California and practicing for a short time in the San Diego area, Dr. Schenck and his wife of 30 years, Charla, moved to Sacramento and purchased Mueller Pet Medical Center (formerly "Mueller Animal Hospital") in September of 1977. Dr. Schenck is proud of the expansions and increased services and staff that have been added since that time. Continuing goals would be to provide expanded client service and critical care, with small animal surgery being a special interest. Dr. Schenck and Charla share their life with two cats, and he enjoys biking, golf and kayaking in his spare time.
Dr. John Elliott
Dr. Elliott is a native Californian. Originally from Santa Ana, he moved to Davis in 1979. Dr. Elliott worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician for four and a half years, including one and a half years in the Intensive Care Unit at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, while completing his education and awaiting acceptance to vet school. He graduated in 1984 from the University of California at Davis and completed an internship with the Sacramento Animal Medical Group. He later accepted a position at SAMG and eventually worked in their Elk Grove practice for several years. In June of 1995 he came to Mueller Pet Medical Center, where he pursues a strong interest in Feline Medicine and Surgery. His long range goals include Board Certification in Feline Medicine and Surgery from the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Dr. Elliott relaxes by gardening at his Elk Grove home, is actively involved with many rescued and handicapped felines, and enjoys many activities with his wife and children.
Dr. Laura Gosink
A 2004 graduate from the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Gosink's background includes careers in pharmaceuticals and in oncology research. Her professional interests include Avian Medicine, Ophthamology and Radiology, and she would eventually like to own her own practice. Dr. Gosink and her husband share their home with a wonderful Doberman cross and with three cats she describes as "clown-like." Some of her free time is spent playing Ultimate Frisbee or volleyball, gardening or horseback riding.

Dr. Taro Cuetara
Dr. Cuetara was a Biochemistry/Molecular Biology major at U.C. Berkeley before going on to graduate first in his class from the U.C. Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. He has a particular interest in canine and feline Internal Medicine and Surgery, and strives toward perfection of his skills in order to always practice the highest level of medicine. Dr. Cuetara and his wife and three children share their home with a large number of furry and feathered companions, including cats, dogs, parrots, tortoises, guinea pigs, a goat and a pig. Dr. Jacobs is originally from Grand Island, Nebraska. She started her career in education, teaching in public schools in Wyoming from 1979 to 1988, then moving to California to teach for two years at Cal Poly University. Wanting to fulfill a lifelong dream of working with animals, she enrolled at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Davis, graduating in 1995. She joined the staff at Mueller Pet Medical Center in May of 1996 and has a special interest in Puppy/Kitten education for owners and in Geriatric medicine. In May of 2000, Dr. Jacobs became a new mother of an 18-month-old Guatemalan daughter. She also shares her life with three dogs and enjoys biking, kayaking and gardening. |
